Quarterfinal analysis: Regal FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid
Another chapter in one of the greatest rivalries in sports will be written during the Quarterfinal Playoffs as Regal FC Barcelona meets Real Madrid with a ticket to the Final Four at stake. Whenever these sides meet up, regardless of what's on the line, it's an event not to be missed. That's truer than ever this time, with each standing in the way of the other's trip to the mountaintop, the 2010 Final Four in Paris. In addition to their famous rivalry in Spain, where Barcelona dumped Madrid just last month in the King's Cup final, these two storied clubs have met numerous times in Europe's elite competition, too. Just last season, they split a pair of meetings in the Top 16, and back in 2006, Barcelona advanced to the Final Four in Prague only after seeing off Madrid in a quarterfinals series that went the distance. With all that as a backdrop, the series between these two teams, with four-time Euroleague winner Ettore Messina on one bench and ambitious young Barcelona boss Xavier Pascual on the other, could be nothing short of legendary.

ROGER GRIMAU
As the Regal FC Barcelona's longest-tenured player, Roger Grimau knows a thing or two about important games against Real Madrid. Now in his seventh season with Barcelona, Grimau has already been to two Final Fours, experience that is proving to be an important piece of the team's success this season. It is safe to expect he will be called early and often to try to help Barcelona knock off its archrival and snatch a ticket to the 2010 Final Four. "Our goal starting this season was to return to the Final Four, and we're on the right track," Grimau says. "However, all is not done, we still have a long way ahead of us in order to reach Paris."

FELIPE REYES
Felipe Reyes this season has added his 100th Euroleague game and 1,000th Euroleague point to an impressive list of accolades: world champ, Olympics medalist, EuroBasket winner, ULEB Cup titlest and more. One thing missing from that impressive list, however, is reaching the Final Four and playing for the Euroleague title. This season, Reyes and Real Madrid are just three wins away from that goal, and now each of those victories must come against their biggest rival, Regal FC Barcelona. "It is going to be a make-or-break fight," Reyes says. "We hope to be the last team standing and make it to the Final Four."
