Caja Laboral tabs guard Dragic
Goran Dragic joins Caja LaboralAfter suffering a second consecutive defeat in Group A of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season, perennial powerhouse Caja Laboral of Spain on Friday added a familiar face, combo guard Goran Dragic, for the rest of the season. Dragic (1.93 meters, 25 years old) arrives as another guard, Reggie Williams, nurses a knee injury that kept him from playing in Caja Laboral's last game, a home loss to rival Gescrap BB. Dragic is no stranger in Vitoria, Spain, where he was signed in 2006 by Caja Laboral but lent out to other teams the two subsequent seasons. Dragic began his career in his native Slovenia with Slovan, continued on loan to Murcia of Spain and played his only Euroleague season with Union Olimpija, also on loan from Caja Laboral, in 2007-08. After averaging 11.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 13 Euroleague games with Olmpija, Dragic moved to Phoenix and Houston of the of the NBA, where he averaged 6.8 points over 205 games in three seasons.
