Olympiacos, Howard part ways
Matt Howard - OlympiacosOlympiacos Piraeus released rookie forward Matt Howard, the club announced Wednesday. The move was expected following the addition of big man Joey Dorsey. Howard played only 19 minutes and scored 2 points in three Turkish Airlines Euroleague regular season games. He also averaged 4 points and 1.5 rebounds in six Greek league games with the Reds. Before coming to Greece, Howard was a college basketball star at Butler University, which he helped reach back-to-back NCAA Tournament title games in 2010 and '11.
