Cholet Basket and Dynamo Moscow will finish out their respective Eurocup seasons in a Group F game for protocol only. Neither team can reach the Last 16, but they will still try to win for pride and momentum in their domestic competitions. Cholet was mathematically eliminated last week with an unlucky loss at Benetton Basket in overtime, which dropped it to 2-3. Dynamo has struggled all season and is still winless in the competition. Cholet beat Dynamo 64-72 in Russia last month as Arvydas Eitutavicius exploded for a season-high 20 points. The players to watch this game are Cholet swingman Sammy Mejia, who enters the game fourth in the Eurocup in scoring (22.4 ppg.) and 20-year-old big man Kevin Seraphin, who is third in rebounds per minute. Dynamo’s stars are Sergey Bykov, who is enjoying a breakout year and could finish the regular season among the top 10 scorers with another strong effort, and forward Sergey Monya, who is ranked among the competition’s top five rebounders. The the coaches may shake the lineups up a bit in a game that is for protocol only, you can expect to see those four logging minutes as they look to add to their impressive individual seasons and stay strong in the domestic games too.
