Seasons
A memorable Eurocup Finals weekend featured four teams adding chapters to their club’s history. Power Electronics Valencia became only the second two-time Eurocup winner with record-setting performances in the final, led by big man Matt Nielsen, who was named MVP. Off the court, fans from Berlin played an important role as some traveled 26+ hours by car and bus to reach Vitoria after flights were cancelled in the aftermath of a volcano. On the floor, Alba reached its first European final in a decade and a half. Bizkaia Bilbao Basket finished third, marking its best-ever performance in European competition. And Panellinios Opap may have gone home without a win, but having earned honor and respect from all that could catapult the club to new heights in years to come.
