PHASE PAGES, Regular Season 2009-10
Seasons

The 2009-10 Eurocup regular season provided plenty of highlights and thrills in addition to a number of upsets. While two top seeds who arrived after wins in their Euroleague Qualifying Rounds games failed to progress to the Last 16, five of the eight teams that needed to qualify for the Eurocup regular season via the Eurocup Qualifying Round advanced to the Last 16 – three as group winners including the lone undefeated team in the regular season, Bizkaia Bilbao Basket. Three of the four past winners of the competition – Power Electronics Valencia, DKV Joventut and Hapoel Jerusalem – plus former runner-up Aris BSA 2003 also reached the Last 16, while 2006 winner Dynamo was left behind. The action went down to the very end as Week 6 featured 14 teams battled for seven remaining Last 16 spots. And four teams saw their Last 16 chances dashed by tiebreakers. In the end, the Last 16 qualifiers came from 10 different countries, proving a high level of basketball is played throughout the continent.
