Dynamo Moscow head coach: David Blatt
David Blatt - Dynamo MoscowConsidered among the elite of international coaching, David Blatt is proving why again this season by leading Dynamo Moscow to the Final Eight with the longest win streak in the competition, eight games. Blatt's career is full of domestic, European and international success. He has claimed national titles and cups in two countries, won the Euroleague as an assistant, reached the Final Four as a head coach and guided the Russian national team to the 2007 European national title, the first for 22 years by players from that country. A former point guard, Blatt started his coaching career in Israel at Galil Elyon in the mid-1990s. He later joined Maccabi Tel Aviv, first as an assistant and later as head coach, contributing to countless trophies during the club's most successful run in decades. He moved to Dynamo St. Petersburg in Russia, leading that club to the 2005 FIBA EuroCup title, then to Benetton Treviso in Italy and Efes Pilsen in Turkey before joining Dynamo last summer. Every step of the way, Blatt has reinforced his reputation as a strong tactician, solid talent evaluator and down-to-earth communicator who gets the best of his players and teams, just as he plans to do at the Final Eight.
