The venue: Palasport Olimpico
Palasport Olimpico - TurinThis year's edition of the Eurocup Final Eight will be played in Turin, Italy from April 2 to 5 at the magnificent Palasport Olimpico. Designed by world-famous architects Arata Isozaki and Pier Paolo Maggiora, the Palasport Olimpico is another venue built for the 2006 Winter Olympic games. The arena was used for ice hockey at those games and hosted the entire medal round. It has an adapted capacity of 6,880 spectators for basketball games.

The building was planned to be not only a world-class sporting facility, that can host events from boxing to track & field, but also tourist and convention center that would host concerts and other cultural events, giving Turin a place to highlight its rich history in food, wine, music and architecture. Accordingly, the grandstand seating and acoustic, lighting and alarm systems are all state of the art and provide the ultimate venue for participant and fans alike to partake in basketball at the highest level.

One of the unique characteristics of the Palasport Olimpico are glass window panes built into its steel façade to allow in natural light. Those windows can be also covered when necessary to keep the hall darker.
