Zadar star: Rok Stipcevic

 Rok Stipcevic exploded onto the Eurocup scene this season, stepping into a void at point guard for his hometown club, KK Zadar, and emerging as one of the competition’s best at the position. No more than a role player in parts of three previous ULEB Cup campaigns, Stipcevic took advantage of a preseason injury to projected starter Malik Dixon to become a team leader himself. In Eurocup play, he was Zadar top-ranked performer in minutes played, three-pointers made, assists and steals. Hardly a game went by without Stipcevic leaving his mark, whether by scoring himself, creating for others or locking down his opponent on defense. In fact, only once all season did an opponent's starting point guard outscore Stipcevic – and that was by a single point on opening night! His roots in town and fighting spirit on the floor have made Stipcevic a favorite among the Zadar fans, but his all-around game - generating points on offense and denying them on defense - make it clear that Stipcevic can endure as a driving force for years to come. With the same classic playmaker skills that helped his team crash the Final Eight, Stipcevic plans to give Zadar's fans plenty more to cheer about in Turin.
