Alba Berlin announced Wednesday that playmaker Goran Jeretin signed a one-year contract with the club. Jeretin (192, 26) arrives from Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv, where he averaged 5.5 points in 10 Euroleague games last season. Jeretin arrived in Israel midway through last season and helped Maccabi to the Euroleague Quarterfinal Playoffs and later to win the Israeli League title. Jeretin has also played for Buducnost in his native Montenegro, as well as for Primorje, Ibon Niksic, Lovcen and Red Star in Serbia. He helped Red Star to win Serbia and Montenegro Cup titles in 2004 and 2006. Jeretin is not a ULEB Cup newcomer, having reached the quarterfinals of the competition with Red Star in the 2005-06 season.
