Kurtinaitis named Asco Slask head coach
Rimas KurtinaitisLithuanian legend Rimas Kurtinaitis is the new coach of ASCO Slask Wroclaw as the club announced Friday. He will replace Andrzej Adamek, who will be his assistant. Kurtinaitis was one of the best players in the USSR team in the eighties. He achieved a gold medal in championship in 1982. As a coach he led a national team of Azerbeijan and Lithuanian team Sakalai and on last Eurobasket he was an assistant in the Lithuanian national team. Earlier for four-and-a-half years he was a minister in Lithuania and responsible for sports.
