Besiktas ColaTurka has signed Marcus Faison to a two-year deal, the club announced Thursday. Faison (196, 30) arrives from Ukrainian powerhouse BC Kyiv, which he helped reach the ULEB Cup Last 16 last season. He averaged 9.3 points in 13 ULEB Cup games for Kyiv and finished the season in fourth place on the all-time competition scoring charts with 738 points in 51 games. Faison spent most of his European and ULEB Cup career in Belgium with Spirou Charleroi – four seasons – but has also played for Cologne in Germany, Pepinster in Belgium and Unicaja in Spain. He helped Unicaja advance to the 2007 Euroleague Basketball Final Four in Athens. Faison has also won back-to-back Belgian League titles in 2003 and 2004 and the Belgian Cup in 2003.
