Fribourg tabs forward Bruce Fields

 Benetton Fribourg Olympic has decided to add a new face to take the place of injured star Dave Esterkamp by signing small forward Bruce Fields. Fields (197, 22) arrives from French second division side Saint Vallier Basket Drome, where he has spent the past two seasons and also has experience in the Swiss League. He was the third ranked scorer in the Swiss League in the 2005-06 season when he averaged 21.4 points on 47.7% three-point shooting plus 6.1 rebounds with Birstal Starwings Basel. Last year he recorded 11 points and 2.6 assists as he helped Saint Vallier win the league.
