Cholet Basket has signed swingman Vincent Grier as a replacement for Iranian small forward Samad Nikkhah, who was released due to undisclosed administrative difficulties. Grier (196, 25) arrives from fellow French League club BCM Gravelines, where he averaged 13 points and 4.7 rebounds over 30 games last season, his first in Europe. He previously played briefly for Miami in the NBA after a college basketball career that saw him finish in the top 10 in the Big 10 Conference in scoring, rebounds and steals as a senior at the University of Minnesota.
