Le Havre adds Slaughter for Gransberry
Marcus SlaughterSTB Le Havre continues to retool its roster ahead of its Eurocup debut, adding big man Marcus Slaughter on Tuesday to take the place of Kentrell Gransberry, who has been released. Slaughter (203, 23) arrives from German side Eisbaren Bremerhaven, for which he averaged 18.8 points on 59.8% shooting, 10 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in eight games this season. He brings experience in both the ULEB Cup and the French League with him to club. Slaughter started last season in Israel with Hapoel Jerusalem, for whom he took part in five ULEB Cup games, and finished the season in France with Gravelines Dunkerque, where he averaged 9.5 points and 7.3 rebounds in 15 games. He played his first professional season for Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir in the 2006-07 season after a promising college basketball career at San Diego State University.
