Week 3 MVP: Mindaugas Kuzminskas, BC Siauliai
Mindaugas Kuzminskas - BC Siauliai (Photo: Gintaras Siuparys)One of the highest-scoring thrillers of the Eurocup regular season so far also produced the best individual performance on Tuesday as 20-year-old forward Mindaugas Kuzminskas became Week 3 MVP by helping BC Siauliai win its first game in spectacular fashion. Siauliai rallied from a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter to edge Aris BSA 92-91 in Group C as Kuzminskas poured in 21 points. In just his third game ever in European competition, Kuzminskas made 4 of 5 two-pointers, 3 of 6 three-pointers and 4 of 4 free throws while also collecting 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks and 3 fouls drawn for a performance index rating of 34 index. An all-Eurocup player from last season, Marko Banic of Bizkaia Bilbao Basket, was second after helping his team rally from 12 points down to defeat Turk Telekom 70-85 in Ankara. Banic scored 26 points on 9-of-11 two-point and 8-for-8 free-throw shooting, pulled 4 rebounds and drew 8 fouls for a 33 index rating. CJ Wallace of Benetton Gioco Digitale paced his team to a road win at Dynamo Moscow with 21 points on 8-of-9 two-point shooting, 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 5 fouls drawn, enough for a 30 index rating. Dwayne Broyles of Spirou Basket and Marc Salyers of Le Mans, each with 28 index ratings, completed the top individual performances for Week 3.

Individual highs: Marcus Slaughter of SLUC Nancy, 16 rebounds

Broyles and Banic were the Week 3 top scorers with 26 points each. Mire Chatman of Besiktas Cola Turka leads all regular season scorers through three games with 24.7 points per game. Marcus Slaughter of SLUC Nancy pulled down 16 boards, more than any other rebounder, in his team's road loss at Gran Canaria 2014. He is also the Eurocup's best rebounder so far, with 10 per night. Stefan Markovic of Hemofarm dished 8 assists against Le Mans, more than anyone this week. Kristaps Valters of DKV Joventut stays as the assists leader with 8 per night. Mario Fernandez of Joventut collected 5 steals in Game 3. Slaughter also leads the steals table at 3.33 per game. Three players - Vladimer Boisa of KK Zadar, Jure Lalic of Spriou and his teammate Wes Wilkinson - each had 3 blocks in this round. Hasan Rizvic of Azovmash Mariupol, leads all shot-blockers at 3 per game. Eight players registered double-doubles in this round: Broyles, Erik Daniels of Azovmash, Virgil Stanescu of Banca Tercas Teramo, Goran Suton of Spartak SPB, Leo Lyons and Uri Kokia of Hapoel Jerusalem, Patrick Flomo of Telekom Baskets Bonn and James Augustine of Gran Canaria.
