The Eurocup six-game regular season provided an excellent stage for excitement and thrilling showdowns in 2008-09. Three of the teams that reached the Eurocup through the qualifying rounds - Unics, Crvena Zvezda and Panellinios - advanced to the Last 16 while some classic squads in European club competitions such as Aris, Fortitudo Bologna, Buducnost m:tel and Asvel Basket could not reach the next round. No team qualified before Week 4, when seven teams advanced to the Last 16: Unics, Pamesa Valencia, Zvezda, Spirou Basket, Benetton Basket Tamoil, BC Khimki and iurbentia Bilbao Basket - a newcomer in European club competitions. Only two teams were looking for their first wins at that time, proving how competitive the regular season was. Dynamo Moscow was the only team that qualified in Week 5, leaving a host of do-or-die scenarios for the final week. Hemofarm Stada, Maroussi Costa Coffee, Zadar, Panellinios, Azovmash, Lietuvos Rytas, Artland Dragons and Turk Telekom survived to the Last 16 in an exciting Week 6.

REGULAR SEASON GAME 1 |
With a short, potentially risky six-game regular season staring them in the face, 16 teams started the Eurocup on the right foot with key first victories in Week 1 on Monday and Tuesday. More than a third of them did even more than that by registering good-as-gold wins away from home. Those road warriors were concentrated in Group B MORE | MVP

REGULAR SEASON GAME 2 |
Week 2 of the Eurocup saw a number of twists and turns in the group standings as all teams are still trying to mount charges towards the Last 16. A third of the way through the regular season, only four teams can boast sole possession of first place in their groups. In two of the other groups, there are two undefeated teams that will square off next week in crucial matchups, while two more groups feature four teams all tied up at 1-1. Eight teams can boast perfect records after Week 2. MORE | MVP

REGULAR SEASON GAME 4 |
A decisive avalanche of results in Week 4 has produced the first seven qualifiers to the Last 16 - all but two of them thanks to road wins on Tuesday. Unics Kazan, a 77-87 winner at mighty Dynamo Moscow, started the trend, getting 6 three-pointers and 25 points in 19 minutes from veteran Sergei Chikalkin to knock down the Last 16 gates. MORE | MVP

REGULAR SEASON GAME 5 |
As road teams dominated Tuesday, only one more of six potential Last 16 qualifiers going into Week 5 was successful. Dynamo advanced with a victory and help from Unics. Three more would-be qualifiers were stopped by Artland, Panellinios and Maroussi, whose win meant that ASK Riga must wait, too. A sixth Top 16 hopeful, Turk Telekom, did not play its game with Bnei Hasharon. MORE | MVP
