As announced by the club on Friday afternoon, Milan Tomic has become the new head coach of Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade for the next three seasons. Tomic, age 44, arrives from Olympiacos Piraeus, where he has been part of the coaching staff for many years. He also had a vast career as a player with several teams, including Radnicki, Kolossos and Aurora Basket, but he was mainly linked to the Reds as a player from 1991 to 2004. As soon as he started his coaching career, Tomic had been in Piraeus with Olympiacos and now he switches teams, though not colors, to make his debut in his native city as a head coach. As a member of the Olympiacos coaching staff, he won back-to-back EuroLeague titles in 2012 and 2013. He had also been head coach of the Reds on two occasions.
