Unics Kazan
Unics KazanThe 2011 Eurocup winner is back to the competition after a successful Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut in which Unics Kazan reached the playoffs. Unics is reloaded with newcomers like former Eurocup MVPs Chuck Eidson and Marko Banic, Euroleague winners Kostas Kaimakoglou and Ian Vougioukas and veteran playmaker Mire Chatman. Four of its main players last season - Terrell Lyday, Kelly McCarty, Petr Samoylenko and Vladimir Veremeenko - are back, so Unics will be a top contender.

Panionios BC Athens
As one of the oldest teams in the continent, Panionios BC Athens wants to live up to its own tradition. Panionios fully reloaded its roster with marquee signings as big man Christopher Booker, versatile swingman Mark Payne, forward Landon Milbourne, talented big man Georgios Bogris or guards Nikos Pappas and Ashton Gibbs, among several others. Panionios needs an adjustment period but if the team gels right away, it could be a serious contender to reach the Last 16.

Telenet Oostende
Telenet OostendeAlways solid and challenging for big goals, Belgian League champion Telenet Oostende faces a new Eurocup season. Oostende managed to keep star guard Matt Lojeski and surrounded him with planty of talent. Brent Wright, Dragisa Drobnjak and Wes Wilkinson team up in a strong frontline, Dusan Djordjevic returns as its floor general and Oostende relies on Veselin Petrovic and Mario Stojic to provide experience and depth. Oostende will be solid and ready to beat anybody.

Stelmet Zielona Gora
A newcomer ready to give some battle, Stelmet Zielona Gora faces its biggest challenge as a club by playing the 2012-13 Eurocup. Small forward Quinton Hosley and playmaker Walter Hodge will be its main references this season, but Zielona Gora has other talented players such as Oliver Stevic, Marcin Sroka, Mantas Cesnauskis, Kamil Chanas and Rob Jones. Its initial goal will be staying strong at home, enjoying the experience and battle to go past the regular season.

Unics Kazan president consultant Andrea Fadin:
"It was a pretty good draw for us. Not great, but pretty good. We respect every opponent because all teams are good in the Eurocup. We have to play hard and see what happens. Unics won the Eurocup two years ago, and our goal as a club is always to win. But every season is different, still the competition is very open."

Stelmet Zielona Gora marketing director Piotr Zaradniy:
"We know Panionios very well because we played them in the preseason. We have good connections with them. Our coach won the Belgian League with Oostende and then Unics is one of the biggest teams in Europe. It will be great fun for our fans to see this team in Poland. The draw was very good for us in terms of sports and it's also good because of the short trips and from a marketing point of view. This is our first Eurocup season and we want to do our best in terms of competitiveness and organization."
