THE STAR
Malcolm Delaney - Budivelnik - EC12
MALCOLM DELANEY
Budivelnik is a very balanced team but Delaney has shined throughout the regular season, leading Budivelnik in minutes (over 30 per game), scoring (15.2 ppg.) and ranking second in assists (2.5 apg.). He ranks third in the Eurocup in fouls drawn per game (6.5) but is just 22nd is free throw attempts (4.33 per game, hitting 73.1%). His explosiveness and quickness can make Budivelnik reach bigger heights in the Eurocup.

GEORGI TSINTSADZE
After a series of injuries, Tsintsadze faces one of the biggest challenges in his career - being the starting point guard of a Eurocup Last 16 powerhouse. Tsintsadze won the Eurocup with Dynamo Moscow in 2006 but now returns as a solid point guard who hit 63% of his two-point shots and 84.2% of his free throw attempts. His overall performance (10.3 ppg., 3 rpg., 3.3 apg.) has been solid but Tsintsadze is ready for more.

Budivelnik team - EC12
Budivelnik is in the Eurocup Last 16 for the second time in three years. Back in 2010-11, Budivelnik won its Last 16 group against Aris BSA 2003, Le Mans Sarthe Basket and BG Goettingen. Cajasol Seville - which also is in this season's Last 16 - stopped Budivelnik in the Quarterfinals on its way to the title game. Michailis Anisimov is the only current Budivelnik player that was with the team back in the 2010-11 season.
BC Triumph Lyubertsy
won Group C with a 6-0 record. One of the only two undefeated teams left
THE STAR
Tywain McKee - BC Triumph - EC12 (photo BC Triumph)
TYWAIN McKEE
Nobody has been more solid all around the competition. McKee earned back-to-back Eurocup weekly MVP honors throughout the regular season. He leads the Eurocup in performance index ranking (28.2 per game), is its second top scorer (20.6 ppg.), is ninth in assists (5.2 apg.), second in steals (2.4 spg.) and fouls drawn (7.8 per game). He leads the Eurocup in free throws made (6.8 per game). The question is... what's his limit?
KEEP AN EYE ON...
Sergey Karasev - BC Triumph (Photo: BC Triumph)_41514
SERGEY KARASEV
A solid candidate to win the Eurocup Rising Star, Karasev is already a superstar at age 19. He has been unstoppable from downtown, hitting 13-of-20 three-point shots (65%, first overall) on his way to average 17.8 points until now. Karasev, however, has just hit 13 of his 38 two-point shots (34.2%), which shows he has a lot of room for improvement - and the perfect coach to do it, his father Vasily Karasev.

Despite having a 18-6 record in two and a half Eurocup seasons, it is the first time that Triumph is among the best 16 teams in the competition. Triumph reached the Last 32 in 2007-08, losing against Artland Dragons Quakenbrueck, and could not go past the regular season in its last appearance in 2009-10. Triumph is back three years later, has reached new highs in the Eurocup but is far from being done.
KK Buducnost Voli Podgorica
was second in Group C with a 4-2 record. Has allowed 57.8 points in the last 4 games.
THE STAR
Cedomir Vitkovac - KK Buducnost VOLI (Photo: ABA Liga)_41904
CEDOMIR VITKOVAC
A well-rounded Eurocup veteran is doing better than ever at age 30. Vitkovac leads Buducnost in rebounds (6.2 rpg.), assists (2.2 apg.), minutes (over 29 per game), fouls drawn (6 per game) and performance index ranking (13.8 per game), as well as being its second top scorer (10.7 ppg.). Currently in his second Eurocup season, Vitkovac has been given a key role and is really delivering, leading Buducnost to the next round.
KEEP AN EYE ON...
Nikola Ivanovic - Buducnost Voli - EC12 (photo Bilbao Basket)
NIKOLA IVANOVIC
Few players have done better than him at age 18. Ivanovic may be young but has shown he is completely ready for the challenge, averaging 8.5 points in over 20 minutes per game. Ivanovic has already been a member of the Montenegrin national team and is getting playing time at the elite level, which means he will only improve more and more over the next months.

Gerald Lee - Buducnost Voli - EC12 (photo Bilbao Basket)
Buducnost is in its seventh Eurocup season and faces the challenge to beat its best-ever results. Last season, Buducnost made it to the Quarterfinals, losing against soon-to-be finalists Valencia Basket. Buducnost has won 9 of its last 12 Eurocup home games. It will need that sort of consistency in front of its fans to increase its chance to go past the Last 16.
Banvit BK Bandirma
was second in Group D with a 4-2 record.
THE STAR
Sammy Mejia - Banvit BK (photo Banvit Bk)
SAMMY MEJIA
In a team full on great players, none is shining like Mejia, who has bounce back from an underwhelming 2011-12 season to show he is a top-class scorer. Mejia leads Banvit in scoring (18.3 ppg.) and is first overall in two-point percentage (37 of 47 two-point shots, 78.7%). Moreover, Mejia has hit 47.1% of his shots from downtown, leads Banvit in assists (3.7 apg.) and is helping on the boards (6.7 rpg.). It is second overall in performance index ranking (26.3 per game).
KEEP AN EYE ON...
Vladimir Stimac - Banvit BK Bandirma - EC12 (photo Valencia Basket)
VLADIMIR STIMAC
A great overall perfomance by Chuck Davis (17.5 ppg., 5.7 rpg.) has overshadowed Vladimir Stimac's outstanding season until now. Stimac has made the difference in the paint, averaging 14 points on 64.9% two-point shots and 7.5 rebounds - both Eurocup career highs. At age 25 and in his fourth consecutive Eurocup season, Stimac has stepped up to play a very important role.

Its recent loss against Valencia Basket brought its eight-game home winning streak to an end, but Banvit has proved to be really solid in from of its wild fan base in Bandirma. Last season, Banvit lacked a road win to reach the Quarterfinals - went 0-3 in the Last 16 and 1-5 in the entire Eurocup season. Banvit has already stolen two road wins, improving last season's results, and it is ready to keep doing that.
