EWE Baskets Oldenburg re-signs Paulding

A signature player will keep leading his team for another two years, as EWE Baskets Oldenburg announced Tuesday a new agreement with Rickey Paulding until the end of the 2015-16 season. Paulding (1.96 meters, 31 years old) has played for Oldenburg in each of the last seven seasons, missing just 3 games due to injury. He accumulated 3,795 points in 287 German League games, leading Oldenburg to win the German League title in 2009, earning finals MVP honors. Paulding averaged 14.7 points on 45.8% three-point shooting and 87% free throws and 3.2 rebounds in 10 Eurocup games this season. Paulding started his professional career with Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem of Israel, making his ULEB Cup debut in the 2004-05 season. He also played for Asvel Lyon-Villeurbanne and BCM Gravelines Dunkerque Grand Littoral in France before joining Oldenburg in 2007. Paulding helped Oldenburg reach the German League finals and the EuroChallenge semifinals in the 2012-13 season. "My family and I are very happy to stay in Oldenburg," Paulding said. "We enjoy living in there and being a part of the city. Of course, I am glad that I will be able to keeo playing in front of our great fans. I hope that we can reach great success in the next two years!"
