Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius will enter the challenges of the news Eurocup campaign with a new man in charge. The two-time Eurocup champ gave the reins of the team to Virginijus Seskus, 47, who comes from BC Prienai where he was a long time coach. The club from the Lithuanian capital is hoping to improve on a title-free 2013-14 season that saw the team reach Eurocup Eighthfinals, VTB League and Lithuanian League semifinals, and the Lithuanian Cup finals. In the latter, Rytas was denied a trophy after overtime in which it lost against Seskus-led Prienai. Seskus also took Prienai to the Lithuanian Cup title in 2013. He spent 10 seasons with his former club, leading it to a pair of Eurocup appearances, in 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, as well as the Baltic League Finals in 2013 and 2014. Seskus was also named the All-Baltic League Challenge Cup Coach of the Year in 2010.
