JDA Dijon brings on point man Walker
Jun 23, 2014
Eurocup newcomer JDA Dijon put a pocket-rocket in its backcourt by announcing the arrival of point guard Erving Walker for the coming season. Walker (1.72 meters, 24 years old) arrives from another French League team, Chalon, which he joined in January, raising his scoring average from 7.6 points in the regular season to 14.7 in the playoff quarterfinals. Walker had started last season with Stelmet Zielona Gora of Poland, making his debut in European competition with 5.8 points and 1.5 assists in 13 minutes on average over 10 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games. When Zielona Gora entered to the Eurocup, he played just three games with 2.7 points and 9 minutes per before moving to Chalon. Walker had previously starred for four seasons at University of Florida and started his pro career in Italy's second division with Veroli.
