Lietuvos Rytas brought back a familiar face by signing an experienced swingman Mindaugas Lukauskis to a two-year deal. Lukauskis (1.98 meters, 35 years old) played last season with TonyBet Prienai, averaging 14.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists under the new Rytas head coach Virginijus Seskus, but feels like coming back home since he previously spent 6 fruitful seasons with Rytas. During that period Lukauskis helped the club win Eurocup in 2005 and 2009, Lithuanian League in 2006 and 2009, and Baltic League in 2006, 2007 and 2009. Early in his career Lukauskis played for Lithuanian sides Panevezys, Sakalai and Alytus, and after his first stint with Rytas, he also wore uniform of ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne in France, EWE Baskets Oldenburg in Germany, Tofas in Turkey, as well as Spanish clubs Valencia BC and Bilbao Basket. He has played 105 games combined in Euroleague and Eurocup during his career.
