Artland Dragons announced Thursday signing point guard Bastian Doreth to a two-year deal. Doreth (1.82 meters, 25 years old) was with Artland last season on-loan from FC Bayern Munich, and in a roll off the bench averaged 3.7 points, 3.3 assists and 1.4 rebounds in his first full Eurocup campaign. In German League he posted 4.1 points on 42% three-point shooting, along with 2.0 assists and 1.4 rebounds. Doreth grew up with Brose Baskets Bamberg, and has made his brief one-game Eurocup debut with the club in 2009-10 season, but for four years has played for Bamberg’s vinculated teams before moving to Bayern in 2010. He also played for Trier in Germany, and is a regular member of the German national team.
