Rome pens deal with guard Petty

Virtus Rome signed point guard Perry Petty to a one-year contract, the club announced Thursday. Petty (1.85 meters, 26 years old) arrives from fellow Italian club Victoria Libertas Pesaro. He averaged 11.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists in half a season for Pesaro after starting the season with Tsmoki Minsk in Belarus. He has also played for Vahostav BK-SK Zilina in Slovakia and CSU Giurgiu in Romania.
