Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia has come to terms with Lithuanian guard Rimantas Kaukenas to remain with the club for one more season. Kaukenas (1.92 meters, 37 years old) arrived in Reggio Emilia in December of 2013 and led the team to the FIBA EuroChallenge title. He averaged 15.3 points and 3.3 assists in the EuroChallenge, while in the Italian League, Kaukenas played 21 regular season games and tallied 12.1 points and 2.2 assists.

Kaukenas has played in many teams during a rich European career, including Real Madrid and Laboral Kutxa Vitoria in Spain, Montepaschi Siena and Pallacanestro Cantu in Italy, Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius and Zalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania and Telekom Baskets Bonn in Germany. He started his pro career in 2000 in Israel with Hapoel Galil Elyon. Kaukenas won five Italian League titles with Montepaschi – and was named MVP of the 2007 Finals – and one Lithuanian League title in 2002 with Lietuvos Rytas. He also won a bronze medal with Lithuania at EuroBasket 2007, and also reached the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four in 2008, finishing in third place with Montepaschi.
