Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia added size, range and experience to its roster by inking veteran big man Darjus Lavrinovic to a two-year deal on Wednesday. Lavrinovic (2.12 meters, 34 years old) arrives from Budivelnik Kiev, which he helped reach the Eurocup semifinals and win the Ukrainian double - league and cup titles - last season. Lavrinovic shined in the 2013-14 Turkish Airlines Euroleague, averaging 15.1 points and 5.4 rebounds in 10 games. He earned regular season Game 9 MVP honors with a monster performance - missing just one shot on his way to 29 points and 10 rebounds. Once Budivelnik went to the Eurocup, Lavrinovic boosted his numbers to 16.8 points and 6.8 rebounds in 10 games and earned Eighthfinals Game 1 MVP honors.

Lavrinovic was a 2005-06 All-Euroleague Second Team selection playing for Zalgiris Kaunas.
