EWE Baskets brings in point guard Ware

EWE Basket Oldenburg found a new point guard, agreeing to terms with Casper Ware until the end of the season. Ware (1.78 meters, 24 years old) has played most of last season with Virtus Bologna in Italy, before finishing it with the Philadelphia 76ers in NBA. Ware averaged 11.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.0 steals in 22 Italian League games. In 9 NBA with the Sixers last spring, he was posting 5.3 points, 1.1 assists and 1.0 rebounds. Ware spent his college career at Long Beach State, and had his first professional season with Casale Monferrato in Italian second division, where he was honored as the league MVP in 2012-13. Ware arrives to EWE Baskets as a replacement for Tywain McKee who left the team. Oldenburg started its Eurocup campaign with 0-3 record in Group C, and will be in search of tis first victory when it hosts Proximus Spirou Charleroi on Tuesday.
