Guildford Heat announced Tuesday the signing of big man Carlton Aaron, who arrives after two seasons with the Plymouth Raiders. Aaron (27, 206) was among the most dominant centers in the British League last season with 16.9 points and a league-best 12.4 rebounds per game. Aaron sharpened his trade at the University of Missouri at Kansas City (UMKC), where as a senior he averaged 14.6 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. The highlight of his professional career to date was winning the BBL Trophy in March with Plymouth. Aaron posted 25 points and 12 rebounds on his way to winning the MVP award in the final.

"I'm so thankful to [coach Paul James] and the Heat organization," Aaron said in a statement on the Heat's website. "Now, with playing in Europe I get to test myself against some of the best players in the world. I couldn't be happier."
