Aleksandar Rasic - BC FMP Alba Berlin has found a replacement for injured point guard Goran Jeretin, taking Aleksandar Rasic on loan for the remainder of the season. Jeretin, who was expected to to be the team's first string point guard, will likely miss the rest of the season with an ACL injury, while Johannes Herber will also miss several months with a knee injury, leaving the club short-handed at the spot. Rasic (195, 23), who is under contract with Dynamo Moscow until 2010, is the sixth foreigner on Dynamo’s domestic league roster due to the restrictions in the Russian League, which has limited him to just one appearance this season. Accordingly, Dynamo head coach Svetislav Pesic agreed that under these circumstances it was better for Rasic to join Alba, where Berlin head coach Luka Pavicevic can offer him more playing time. Rasic grew up in the FMP Zeleznik youth system. Last season led FMP to the semifinals of the ULEB Cup, averaging 10.4 points and 3.9 assists in 16 games. He was the sixth best passer of the competition. In 2006 he won the Adriatic League with FMP and in 2005 the Serbian cup. At the end of last season, Rasic joined Efes Pilsen for the Turkish League playoffs before inking his long-term deal with Dynamo Moscow in the summer.
