BC Kyiv lands coach Obradovic, Bajramovic

Kenan Bajramovic - Lietuvos Rytas BC Kyiv has started to put together its roster for its ULEB Cup return in the 2008-09 season by inking head coach Sasha Obradovic and power forward Kenan Bajramovic to respective two-year deals. Obradovic, age 39, was an extraordinary playmaker with career highlights that featured gold medals at the 1998 FIBA World Championships, EuroBasket 1995, EuroBasket 1997, as well as an olympic silver medal in Atlanta 1996. He has arrived from RheinEnergie Koeln, the team where he finished playing and started his coaching career in the last three seasons. Obradovic has helped Koeln to win the German League title in 2006. Meanwhile, Bajramovic (206, 27) arrives from Lietuvos Rytas, where he averaged 11.1 points and 5.7 rebounds in 19 Euroleague games. He helped L. Rytas to reach the Lithuanian League, Lithuanian Cup and Baltic League finals, losing all three against Zalgiris Kaunas. Bajramovic is not a newcomer to Ukrainian basketball, as he already won consecutive league titles with Azovmash Mariupol in 2006 and 2007. He has also played for Bosna Sarajevo and Celik Zenica in his native Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bajramovic won the 2005 Bosnian League with Bosna and is also a regular member of his national team.
