Antanas SireikaLietuvos Rytas head coach Antanas Sireika resigned on Sunday after the club suffered defeats in its last two games. The club dropped a Eurocup decision at Kalise Gran Canaria last week, but tougher to swallow was a home loss to rival Zalgiris Kaunas in the Lithuanian League. Sireika took over for Aleksandar Trifunovic this summer and had the team ranked first in the Baltic League, second in the Lithianoan League and with a 1-1 record after two Eurocup games, General Manager Jonas Vainauskas told local media that the club was looking to sign another well-known Lithuanian coach, but didn't reveal more details.
