Some of European basketball's most experienced officials will work the games of the 2015 Eurocup Finals between Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas and Khimki Moscow Region. Game 1 takes place on Friday, April 24 in the capital of the Canary Islands. The referees who will officiate that game are Fernando Rocha of Portugal, Roberto Chiari of Italy and Rustu Nuran of Turkey. Among their extensive previous experience in major competitions, both Nuran and Rocha, the crew chief, officiated last season at the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four. Rocha also worked the 2009 Euroleague Final Four and previously whistled the Eurocup Finals in 2010 and 2013. Chiari has officiated at the 2009 Eurocup Final Eight. Game 2 of this season's series, in Moscow next Wednesday, April 29, has a three-man crew consisting of Sasa Pukl of Slovenia, Milivoje Jovcic of Serbia and Ioannis Foufis of Greece. Pukl, the crew chief, and Jovcic, both refereed last season's Turkish Airlines Euroleague Championship Game. Pukl worked the 2007 and 2009 Final Fours as well. Foufis, who became a Euroleague Basketball referee in 2010, will be working his first Eurocup Finals. Among their many other international assignments, Jovcic, Nuran, Pukl and Rocha have previously worked both Olympic Games and World Cup men’s tournaments, while Chiaria officiated the women's final at the Olympics.
