Umana Reyer Venice reached a new agreement with forward Hrvoje Peric to keep him in the team next season, the club announced Thursday. Peric (2.03 meters, 30 years old) averaged 14.1 points and 5.4 rebounds in 41 Italian League games last season, helping Venice reach the semifinals. It was his second season with the team. Peric has also played for Dubrovnik, Zadar, Split and Zagreb in his native Croatia, Benetton Treviso in Italy and Unicaja Malaga in Spain, as well as being a member of the Croatian national team. He helped Benetton reach the Eurocup semifinals in 2011, losing against Cajasol Seville. Peric also took Zadar to the Eurocup Final Eight in 2009 and helped Split win the Croatian League title in 2003 and lift the Croatian Cup trophy in 2004.
