Zenit St. Petersburg reached an agreement with guard Dmitry Golovin to work together next season, the club announced Monday. Golovin (1.92 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Nizhny Novgorod, where he played in the last six seasons. He averaged 0.5 points and 1.2 assists in 13 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season. Golovin helped Nizhny reach the VTB League finals and the Eurocup semifinals in 2014, as well as making it to the Euroleague Top 16 last season. He also helped Nizhny win the Russian second division championship in 2010. Golovin has also played for CSKA Moscow's junior team, CSKA-Trinta Moscow, Khimki 2 Moscow Region, TEMP-SUMZ Revda and Unics Kazan. He also helped the Russian national team get a silver medal at the 2009 World University Games.
