Dominion BB adds big man Bogris, keeps guard Borg
Dominion Bilbao Basket announced the arrival of big man Georgios Bogris and a new agreement with combo guard Tobias Borg, who inked respective two-year deals on Monday. Bogris (2.10 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Morabanc Andorra, where he averaged 8.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in 34 Spanish League games last season. He brings in plenty of Eurocup experience, as Bogris played the competition with Greek sides Aris BSA 2003, Panionios BC Athens and PAOK Thessaloniki, accumulating 209 points and 103 rebounds in 28 games. Bogris has also played for Ilysiakos and Panathinaikos Athens of Greece. He helped Panathinaikos win the Turkish Airlines Euroleague title in 2011, as well as lifting consecutive Greek League trophies in 2010 and 2011. Bogris is also a member of the Greek national team. He helped Greece win a gold medal at the 2009 U20 European championships and get a silver medal at the 2007 U18 European Championships. Borg (1.84 meters, 21 years old) averaged 2.4 points in 29 Spanish League games last season, his first with Bilbao. He started his career with Talje and soon moved to Sodertalje Kings, helping it win consecutive Swedish League titles in 2013 and 2014. Borg is also a member of the Swedish national team. He is set to make his Eurocup debut with Bilbao next season.
