Telekom Baskets Bonn kept an integral part of its from last year by extending contract for another year with veteran power forward Tadas Klimavicius, club announced on Tuesday. Klimavicius (2.04 meters, 32 years old) came off the bench in Eurocup last season to post 9.5 points and lead Bonn with 5.0 rebounds – including 2.0 on the offensive glass. He was even better in the German League with 12.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.4 offensive boards per game. Klimavicius previously spent a total of seven seasons during two stints with Zalgiris Kaunas, helping it win three Lithuanian League title, along with two Lithuanian Cups and three Baltic League crowns. Klimavicius has also played for AEL 1964 Larissa of Cyprus, Fabriano Basket of Italy, as well as for Alita-Savy Alytus and Siauliai in Lithuania. He is a former member of the Lithuanian national team, to which he helped win a bronze medal at the 2010 FIBA World Championships.
