Zenit St. Petersburg announced the arrival of forward Pavel Antipov on Wednesday. Antipov (2.04 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Unics Kazan, where he averaged 3.9 points and 3.4 rebounds in 9 Eurocup games last season. He also played the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, averaging 1.8 points in 4 games. Antipov started his career with CSK VVS Samara and also played for Spartak St. Petersburg before joining Unics in 2012. He has also been a member of the Russian national team. He helped Russia win a gold medal at the 2013 World University Games played in Kazan and a bronze medal at the 2015 World University Games played in Gwangju, South Korea. He helped Unics win the Russian Cup and reach the Eurocup Finals in 2014. Antipov also made it to the Eurocup semifinals with Spartak in 2012 and with Unics last season.
