Dominion Bilbao Basket and veteran forward Axel Hervelle agreed to a new contract that will keep the sides together for an additional three seasons. Hervelle (2.05 meters, 32 years old) first joined the club in January 2010, has already played 249 games for the club in five different competitions (Euroleague, Eurocup, Spanish League, Copa del Rey, Spanish SuperCup) and the fourth-most games for Dominion BB in Spanish League history. Last season he averaged 7.9 points and 4.4 rebounds in 36 Spanish League games. Hervelle has spent his career with three clubs; he debuted with his boyhood club Royal BC Verviers Pepinster in his native Belgium in 2000 and in 2004 moved to Real Madrid, where he spent five and a half seasons, won the 2007 ULEB Cup and a pair of Spanish League championships. He has played a total of five Eurocup seasons, led Dominion BB to the 2013 championship game and enters this season ranked sixth in competition history with 401 rebounds.
