Neptunas Klaipeda bolstered its frontcourt by inking center Jerai Grant to a one-year deal on Saturday. Grant (2.03 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Ventspils, where he averaged 8.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 10 Eurocup games last season. He helped Ventspils reach both the Baltic League and the Latvian League finals. Grant started his professional career with Sydney Kings of Australia and also played for Enel Brindisi of Italy and Hapoel Holon of Israel before joining Ventspils in December 2013. Grant led Ventspils to the Latvian League title in 2014. Neptunas also announced earlier on this weekend that team captain Martynas Mazeika will stay in the team for two more seasons.
