Greek squad AEK Athens announced over the weekend the addition of forward Daniel Orton for the next season. Orton (2.08 meters, 25 years old) arrives from the Idaho Stampede of the D-League. Last season he also played in the same competition with the Grand Rapids Drive, where he averaged 6.7 points and 5.8 rebounds in six games. He played college basketball at the University of Kentucky and was drafted in 2010 by the Orlando Magic. He made his NBA debut in 2012 and later played with the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Philadelphia 76ers. Orton has also played in China and the Philippines; he will be making his European debut this season with AEK.
