Elite shooter Kostas Vasileiadis will play for his boyhood club, PAOK Thessaloniki, once again after the sides agreed to terms on Thursday. Vasileiadis (2.00 meters, 31 years old), a 2012-13 All-Eurocup First Team selection, played for PAOK’s first team from 2000 through 2006. He arrives from Unicaja Malaga of Spain, with whom he averaged 6.5 points in 17 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season. Vasileiadis last played in the Eurocup for Uxue Bilbao Basket three seasons ago, when he averaged 14.5 points over 15 games and helped the men in black reach the competition’s title game. He also played for Anadolu Efes Istanbul in Turkey, Olympiacos in Greece, Montegranaro in Italy and Xacobeo Obradoiro in Spain. Among Vasileiadis’s career highlights are winning the Spanish League in 2006 and reaching the 2007 Euroleague Final Four – both with Unicaja. He has also played for the Greek national team at the European and world championships.
