Besiktas has new boss in Ulug
Besiktas Sompo Japan Istanbul announced on Monday a new head coach in Hamdi Yagizer Ulug, after having released former boss Henrik Dettmann due to a loss to Avtodor Saratov in the Eurocup last week. Ulug (43 years old) arrives from Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul, where he was just working as Ergin Ataman's assistant coach. In fact, Ataman could not sit in for the Eurocup opening game and Ulug took its place as head coach for Galatasaray, leading the team to a 90-94 road win at Neptunas Klaipeda. Ulug is expected to make his debut this very week against PAOK Thessaloniki in a Group E showdown.
