ratiopharm Ulm reached an agreement with point guard Pierria Henry to work together for the remainder of the season, the club announced Monday. Henry (1.93 meters, 22 years old) arrives from Vita Tbilisi, where he averaged 13.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 6.2 assists and a league-best 2.9 steals in 11 VTB League games this season, his first as a professional basketball player. He finished his college career at the University of North Carolina Charlotte, averaging 10.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 32 NCAA games last season. Henry is expected to be registered in time for Ulm's do-or-die game against SLUC Nancy on Tuesday.
"He is a big, versatile point guard with is really strong on defense but also shines when it comes to playmaking," Ulm head coach Thorsten Leibenath said. "We will try everything possible to make him eligible to play on Tuesday."
