Zenit St. Petersburg added depth to its backcourt by signing veteran guard Pavel Sergeev to a one-year deal. Sergeev (1.85 meters), who turns 29 later this summer, has already spent a pair of seasons playing for Zenit, but back in the day when it still carried the name Triumph Lyubertsy, and second of those two campaigns in 2009-10 was also arguably the best season of his career. Sergeev returns to the city of St.Petersburg where he started his professional career with Spartak.
