UCAM Murcia re-signs team captain Antelo
UCAM Murcia reached a new agreement with team captain Jose Angel Antelo to keep working together the next three seasons, the club announced Friday. Antelo (2.06 meters, 29 years old) averaged 12 points on 46.1% three-point shooting (53-of-115) and 4.7 rebounds in 37 Spanish League games last season, leading Murcia to its first playoffs appearance. Antelo will enter his fifth season with Murcia and has also played for Real Madrid, Caceres, CAI Zaragoza, Bilbao Basket, L'Hospitalet, Tenerife Rural, Fuenlabrada and Leon. Antelo helped Spain win a gold medal at the 2004 U18 European Championships, averaging 19.3 points and 10.4 rebounds.
