Montakit Fuenlabrada bolstered its frontcourt by inking center Blagota Sekulic to a two-year deal on Wednesday. Sekulic (2.10 meters, 34 years old) arrives from Iberostar Tenerife, where he averaged 10.7 points and 4.4 rebounds in 29 Spanish League games last season. He is a former 7DAYS EuroCup champion, as Sekulic won the competition with Real Madrid in 2007. He started his career with Montenegrin powerhouse Buducnost Podgorica and also played for Partizan Belgrade of Serbia, AEK Athens, Maroussi Athens, Aris Thessaloniki and PAOK Thessaloniki of Greece, ALBA Berlin of Germany, Vanoli Braga-Cremona of Italy, UCAM Murcia of Spain and Fenerbahce Istanbul of Turkey. He helped Buducnost win the Yugoslavian Cup title in 2001, lifted the Spanish League trophy with Madrid in 2007 and conquered the German Cup crown with ALBA in 2009. Sekulic also reached another EuroCup final with ALBA in 2010, losing against Power Electronics Valencia. He has also been a longtime member of the Montenegrin national team.
