Lietkabelis Panevezys reached an agreement with forward Zygimantas Skucas, who will play for the 7DAYS EuroCup newcomer next season. Skucas (2.01 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys, where he averaged 8.7 points and 4.9 rebounds in 35 Lithuanian League games last season. He started his career with Zalgiris Kaunas's junior team and also played for Zalgiris-Sabonio mokykla Kaunas, LSU-Batlai and LSU-Atletas Kaunas. Skucas had a very successful run with the Lithuanian national team in youth competitions, helping it win respective gold medals at the 2010 U18 European Championships, the 2011 U19 World Championships and the 2012 U20 European Championships. "He has been in our radar for some time and we are excited that he joined our frontline," Lietkabelis director Mantas Ignatavicius said. "He is a very combative player who can play in several positions depending on the situation. Our coach is aware of his skills and will take full advantage of them."
