Morabanc Andorra reached an agreement with head coach Joan Peñarroya to remain together for the eighth consecutive season, the club announced Thursday. Peñarroya, 48, joined Andorra in 2010 and has coached the team ever since, all the way from the Spanish third division to qualifying for the 7DAYS EuroCup for the first time in club history. Peñarroya led Andorra to the Spanish third division title in 2012 and he also claimed the Spanish second division double – league and cup titles – in 2014. Last season, Peñarroya took Andorra to the Spanish Copa del Rey and the Spanish League playoffs and lost against Real Madrid in both competitions. A former player, he also coached Olesa i Navas before joining Andorra.
